The Opportunity
An established and fast-growing organisation in the industrial chemical solutions sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its strategic growth objectives. This position offers the chance to work with an experienced team in a high-impact commercial role, identifying new revenue streams and nurturing long-term client relationships.
The ideal candidate will have a background in B2B sales or account development, preferably within the water treatment, environmental, or industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities, markets, and industry partnerships
- Design and implement strategies to attract and retain clients
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis
- Drive lead generation through outbound sales, networking, and digital outreach
- Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals and presentations
- Negotiate and close commercial agreements in line with sales targets
- Work cross-functionally to ensure customer needs are met
- Provide accurate reporting on sales performance and market insights
- Represent the business at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
- Third-level qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a relevant discipline
- Background in chemical, environmental, or water treatment industries is an advantage
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or commercial account management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-motivated, results-focused, and able to work independently
- CRM system experience and strong Microsoft Office proficiency
- Full, clean driving licence (travel to client sites required)
