Key responsibilities, duties and tasks
  • Collect and build chairs from Ireland Warehouse
  • Deliver chairs to Product Specialist team at nationwide locations.
  • Complete administrative work within time scales
  • Make sure stock is recorded and managed in van and depot.
  • Work with customer service team to arrange deliveries in an effective manner
  • Assisting the sales team with 2 man visits where required
  • Overnight stays in hotels where required to maximise efficiency
Key goals and KPIs
  • Product is kept in good condition for delivery
  • Arrive on time to prebooked appointments
  • Stock in van and depot is managed well

  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate training activities
  • Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job, whether that be on-the-job training, in-house training or external training courses
  • Undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post and as detailed in the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
  • Act as an ambassador of the Company and promote the company brand, always displaying a positive image to customers and members of the public

Requirements

Experience and knowledge

It is essential that the postholder has:

  • Experience in driving van or long distance travel
  • Experience in loading and delivering
  • Experience in stock management

It is desirable that the postholder has:

  • Relevant product and industry knowledge

Skills and abilities

It is essential that the postholder has:

  • Strong communication (oral and written) and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team
  • Good IT skills
  • Maintain excellent levels of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Attention to detail and compliance with company systems and processes
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early starts or late finishes depending on travel.
  • Ability to use initiative in a variety of challenging situations
  • Ability to contribute to groups discussions in a thoughtful manner
  • Ability to work methodically and fault find
  • Prepared to stay overnight in hotels as necessary for maximum travel efficiency
  • Drive with due care, attention and courtesy at all times
  • Outlook and Word Processing skills
