Application Details

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

You can register your interest by selecting the ‘Register your interest’ button or you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Job Description

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Maintaining both the internal and external grounds of the premises; ensuring that premises are held to a high standard and in accordance with all relevant regulation(s).

Internally: Cleaning of premises, set up and maintain inventory of cleaning stock, carrying out minor repairs, ensuring all systems are operational (Fire/Intruder Alarm) or other duties as required by Management.

Externally: Maintaining the external grounds of the premises. Opening and closing the premises at times determined by management.

Other: Assist in some paperwork / administration duties as required by the service. Attend team meetings weekly, and fill out your time sheets. Porterage and messenger duties both within and outside the premises. Undertaking training where appropriate to ensure continuous learning and development as a worker and as an individual to enhance your development.

As a caretaker you will be required to ensure that all PPE material is maintained and available. You will be required to sign in and out of the Centre to ensure we have accurate contact traceable records and complete weekly disclosure forms, prior to commencing work.

Supported training and development available with opportunity to reskill in area of interest with a view to returning to employment.

You will need a referral from your case officer in your local Intreo office, but we can help you with this.
