Roles and Responsibilities: Managing residents' admissions, discharges, and medication administration in line with best practices.
Developing individual care plans using a person-cantered approach.Ensuring the accurate and timely recording of Care Notes and Plans.
Maintaining high standards of resident care and hygiene.
Supervising mealtimes, attending to feeding requirements, and performing necessary personal care tasks.
Assisting with in-house training, emergency response, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assume responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of allocated residents.
To plan and deliver a high standard of evidence-based individualised care.
Lead a Team of Health care Assistants, allocate duties and ensure that they are performing their duties adequately.
Evaluate resident care needs and in-conjunction with our multi-disciplinary team implement and evaluate individualised care plans that meet the resident’s needs.
To adhere to the procedures/guidelines in place.
Maintain clear, concise and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation.
Must be able to quickly and effectively work in an emergency situation.
Performs procedures accurately, completely and safely.
Build strong relationships with residents to encourage trust and understand their needs.
Knowledge and awareness of HIQA standards and ability to participate in inspection process.
Shifts are rostered Monday to Sunday and will include Night duty.
Requirements: Registered on the Irish live register (NMBI). Must have active PIN.
Bachelor’s (preferred).1 year of Nursing experience (preferred).
Experience/knowledge of HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
Strong clinical and communication skills are required.
IT skills, Computer literate in Outlook, Work and Excel.
Applicants must have a good command of the English language (verbal and written).
Proven attention to detail and follow through.
