The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Carry out inspections in line with legal and company standards
- Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within set deadlines
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Technician
- Relevant qualification in vehicle mechanics (desirable but not essential)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards
- Good communication skills
