Site Engineer/Manager

We run lean, well-organised sites and value people who take ownership, communicate clearly, and keep things moving efficiently.This position is for a small site where you’ll be a key part of the team, reporting directly to the company owner.
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Site Engineer/Site Manager who can take responsibility for all engineering and coordination requirements on site. This is a hybrid role combining technical setting-out with day-to-day site management.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete all engineering and setting-out duties for the project
Coordinate and manage subcontractors on a daily basis
Plan, schedule, and organise site activities
Manage and book deliveries, plant, and material orders
Monitor quality, safety, and compliance on site
Resolve site issues quickly and proactively
Liaise directly with the company owner for progress, issues, and weekly goals
Keep accurate site records, check drawings, and ensure work is completed to specification
Ensure the site remains tidy, safe, and well organised
Support the project through to completion
About You
Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
Strong setting-out experience (ICF experience an advantage but not essential)
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Able to manage trades and maintain strong working relationships
Practical, proactive, and solution-focused
Comfortable working on a small site with a high level of responsibility
Ability to read drawings, understand specifications, and maintain high quality standards
Full, clean driver’s licence
