Senior Site Engineer

Role Overview:

The Senior Site Engineer will play a key role in ensuring technical excellence across project delivery, supporting the Site Manager and wider team with setting out, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and design interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set out the works accurately and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades on-site
• Support quality assurance and ensure works are carried out to the highest standard
• Maintain site records including RFI registers, inspections, and as-built documentation
• Liaise with the design team to resolve technical queries and implement design changes
• Assist with health & safety compliance, inductions, and site audits
• Mentor junior engineers and support site leadership

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
• 5+ years’ site engineering experience on large-scale building projects in Ireland
• Strong setting-out and surveying skills (GPS, total station, levelling)
• Knowledge of BCAR, Irish Building Regulations, and current codes of practice
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership abilities
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant site reporting tools
