This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance.

Job Description

Role Description:

As a Food Production Operative, you will be a vital part of our team responsible for the preparation, forming, and cooking of food products. In this role, you will receive comprehensive training in food manufacturing, equipping you with the skills and knowledge required to safely and efficiently produce high-quality food items.

Training will include food safety practices, as well as an understanding of food manufacturing standards and regulations.

Please note: English language skills are not essential for this role. All necessary training and support will be provided in a way that is accessible to speakers of other languages.

The role will involve:

Food Preparation

Packaging Machine Operation

Cleaning and Maintenance: After food production, you will assist with cleaning your work area, ensuring that all surfaces, tools, and equipment are sanitized and properly maintained to adhere to hygiene and safety standards.

Food Safety Practices: You will be trained in proper food safety procedures, including the correct handling of ingredients, monitoring cooking temperatures, and ensuring that finished products are stored and packaged in accordance with safety regulations.
