Senior Cloud Security Engineer New

A leading financial services organisation in Dublin is hiring a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join a growing cyber security function focused on modern cloud security, DevSecOps, and secure enterprise architecture.

This is a hands-on engineering role working closely with Architecture, Infrastructure, Development, and Security teams to embed secure practices across cloud platforms and modern application environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud security controls across Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, and hybrid enterprise environments, with strong focus on identity, governance, and secure architecture.
• Drive DevSecOps and CI/CD security practices including secure coding, SAST/DAST tooling, Infrastructure-as-Code security, and secure pipeline integration.
• Support API and application security initiatives including API authentication, OAuth/OIDC, OWASP controls, cloud-native service security, and application design reviews.
• Manage and improve operational security capabilities including Microsoft Defender suite, SIEM investigations, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection workflows.
• Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to improve container security, cloud-native security posture, and security standards across modern distributed platforms.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience across Azure cloud security, DevSecOps, CI/CD tooling, and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with application security, API security, SAST/DAST tooling, and secure coding practices.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft security technologies such as Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, Conditional Access, RBAC, and hybrid identity environments.
