Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Working in a daycare service for people with Intellectual Disabilities. Participant will be required to work alongside Cairdeas care staff to assist with daily care of service users. To include, good practice, program delivery, attending events and activities that the service users are taking part in.Looking after personal care of service users. Drive bus, collecting service users from their homes and returning them home in the evening. Drive bus and accompany them on outings. Use the appropriate restraints in the bus to hold in wheelchairs and ensure that the service users are safely strapped in.
Undertake daily activities with service users, such as swimming, shopping, crafts, music, etc. Applicants must have a good command of English, good communication skills and a Full B Driving Licence.
