We’re launching the first Vietnamese food trailer in Cork and need a reliable Kitchen Assistant/Commis Chef to support our Chef.
This part-time role offers 25 hours per week (Tuesday- Saturday shifts)in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
Location: Victoria Cross, Cork CityKey Responsibilities:
Food preparation: washing, chopping, peeling, mixing ingredients
Assisting the Chef with basic cooking tasks and following recipes.
Take customer orders and process paymentsMaintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
Adhering to strict health, safety, and HACCP food hygiene standards.
Requirements: Knowledge of HACCP and safe working practices, Must acquire basic food hygiene qualification HACCP level 1&2
Applicants must have a good command of the English language.
Minimum 1 year of previous experience working with food and customer serviceThe ideal candidate will: Have a can-do attitude who has strong communication skills and enjoys interacting with customers.
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.Be willing to learn and adapt to new tasks.
Be self-motivated, being able to work independently with good personal organization.
