Business and Financial Project Manager
Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Business and Financial Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives and improve financial performance across our grocery and convenience store chain. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll manage cross-functional projects focused on cost savings, operations optimization, and system upgrades.You’ll work closely with teams from operations, merchandising, IT, finance, and supply chain to drive improvements that enhance margins and the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning: Develop and execute detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.Stakeholder Management: Align with executives, store teams, and vendors on project goals and expectations.
Budget & Forecasting: Track and manage project budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics; implement corrective actions when needed.
Vendor Management: Negotiate supplier contracts for systems, materials, or services to secure cost-effective solutions.
Operations Improvement: Lead process improvements e.g., store layouts, inventory systems to reduce costs and boost efficiency.
Monitoring & Reporting: Track project milestones, manage risks, and provide regular updates on progress, costs, and ROI to senior leadership.
Team Leadership: Supervise team members, assigning responsibilities and ensuring goals are met.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Project Management, or related field.Experience: 2 plus years in project management and financial planning. Retail or FMCG experience preferred.
Skills: Strong in budgeting tools Excel, project software, and data analysis. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Traits: Organized, detail-focused, and solution-oriented. Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
Bonus: Familiarity with inventory systems, store operations, Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
