Engineering Technician (Shifts) - Electrical, Data Center Engineering Operations

Key job responsibilitiesSAFETY
Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.
ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE
Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)
Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance
Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with health & safety regulations).
Ability to work shifts
- High school or equivalent diploma, or NFQ Level 6/ NVQ Level 3/ SOLAS Level 6/ FETAC Level 6/ QQI Level 6 all specialized in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics
- Experience working in a data center or mission critical facility (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.), or experience in a data center or other critical environment
- Extensive knowledge of safe electrical practices according to guidelines set by relevant electrical safety supervisory bodies (e.g., ECSSAI and RECI in Ireland)- Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling
- Can perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired
