General Operative
We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Operative to support a fully qualified electrician on solar PV installation projects across Cork and the Munster region. This role is ideal for someone with a practical mindset, strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in renewable energy.
As the electrician’s right-hand person, you will assist with the safe and efficient installation of solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist electricians during the installation of solar PV systemsCarry and position solar panels, mounting equipment, and tools
Prepare job sites, including moving materials and setting up safety measures
Help with running cables, connecting components, and mounting inverters
Support testing and commissioning activities under supervision
Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
Complete basic documentation and assist with site photos as required
Follow all health and safety procedures on site
Essential Requirements:
Manual Handling and Safe Pass certificationComfortable working at height (roof access required)
Full, clean driving licence (travel required)
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and competently
Physically fit with a proactive, hands-on approach to tasks
Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
