Assistant Accountant - Part-Qualified Accountant

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a growing organisation who are seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Senior Financial Accountant on a 12-month contract starting January 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, enjoy a challenge, take initiative and ideally have experience with - or exposure to the implementation of an ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately record and retrieve financial data, maintaining monthly financial records.
• Process payments and manage cash handling.
• Assist with Accounts Payable, including supplier account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports.
• Post month-end journals.
• Assist with year-end preparation and procedures.
• Analyse and review key Accounts Receivable accounts.
• Reconcile bank accounts across multiple currencies.
• Support VAT submissions.
• Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system.

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently studying towards an accounting qualification.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas.
• A collaborative team player.
• Driven, motivated, and eager to take on new challenges.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
