Job Title: Senior Speech and Language Therapist

Contract: Permanent - Full time

We are seeking a senior speech and language therapist to deliver the Hanen More Than Words Programme to families with children under 6 years, including those with autism and other developmental disabilities. Following completion of the programme, the role will continue with general speech and language therapy duties with children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the Hanen More Than Words Programme to a set number of families, both in-person at the clinic and online.
• Conduct individual face-to-face appointments as part of programme delivery.
• Provide general SLT assessment and intervention for children and families after completion of the programme.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all data protection requirements.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to support child development.

Essential Criteria:

• Completed Hanen More Than Words Programme qualification and experience delivering it.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with children with developmental disabilities, particularly autistic children under 6 years.
• Experience at senior grade level in speech and language therapy.
• Registered with CORU and hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
• Compliance with Children’s First and safeguarding standards.
• Must provide CV, insurance, CORU registration, Children’s First compliance, and Hanen MTW qualification evidence.

Desirable:

• ADOS training.
• Experience delivering therapy online and in clinic.
• Strong communication and family engagement skills.
