Application Details
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
General Cleaning / HousekeepingEnsuring defined areas – Toilets / Kitchens / Common room areas are kept clean each day, maintaining supplies in these areas including Delph, cutlery, cleaning materials, general supplies etc
Room Schedules
Throughout the day we run classes in every room in the centre. We also host community events and meetings
Supporting the Caretakers in preparing rooms for rental groups who use the centre from time to time and clearing the rooms after the events.
Catering for Room Rental
Assisting staff in the catering for any groups who rent rooms, preparing tea and coffee for the rooms etc as required
Recycling
Attending to all aspects of recycling throughout the centre, managing this area and preparing recycling for collection every second week
Equipment and supplies
Catering equipment / Room rental equipment / general supplies for programmes- monitor and maintain supplies in appropriate areas throughout the centre, levels of supplies, condition of supplies
Store rooms
Maintaining and looking after the 2 storerooms where all equipment and supplies are kept
