Health & Safety Officer
We are currently hiring on behalf of an electrical manufacturers based in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin. This is a newly created, on-the-ground role suited to someone proactive and detail-oriented who’s passionate about embedding a culture of health and safety in a growing company.Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll be an integral part of shaping a safe and compliant working environment.
Location: Rathcoole, Co. DublinType: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: €45,000 – €55,000 (DOE)
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be hands-on in the facility and on occasion at client sites, ensuring all health, safety and welfare procedures are followed to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitoring compliance with statutory health, safety and welfare obligations.Conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments, audits and investigations.
Supporting the site team with RAMs and incident documentation.
Leading employee inductions, training and toolbox talks.
Promoting a strong safety-first culture across all departments.
Maintaining accurate safety records and overseeing corrective actions.
Liaising with our external H&S consultant and relevant regulatory bodiesSupporting contractor onboarding and safety compliance.
Supporting ISO 45001 and 14001 standards, alongside the quality team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Health & Safety is required.Minimum 2 years' experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environment is required.
Full clean driving license is required.
Experience with site inspections, audits and incident investigation.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Electrical or switchgear industry knowledge is advantageous, but not required.
