About the Role:
We are a busy construction and engineering firm based in Cork, seeking a reliable, professional, and experienced Corporate Driver to join our team . In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of company personnel, including management and project teams, as well as delivering essential documents and small equipment to various sites across Cork and the surrounding regions .
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation: Safely transport company staff, managers, and visitors to and from project sites, meetings, and offices in a professional and timely manner .
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the company vehicle is always clean, fueled, and well-maintained. Perform regular daily checks (oil, water, tyres, lights) and arrange for servicing or repairs as needed .
Route Management: Plan and adjust travel routes to avoid traffic congestion, road works, or delays, ensuring passengers arrive on schedule .
Administrative Duties: Keep accurate records of mileage, trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle logs. Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle damage to management immediately .
Assistance: Assist with loading and unloading of luggage, materials, or small equipment when required .
Compliance: Adhere to all Irish road traffic laws and company safety regulations at all times. Ensure all vehicle documents (insurance, tax, NCT) are up to date .
Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of service, confidentiality, and discretion when interacting with staff and clients .
Requirements:
Full, clean Irish Category B driving licence (minimum 2 years experience) .
Experience in or familiarity with the construction industry is a distinct advantage .
Excellent knowledge of local roads in Cork and major routes across Munster.
Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy with a professional appearance and manner .
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule when required.
