Location: Dublin
Hours of working: 35 hours per week
Main Duties:Design, deliver, and review an ambitious annual Community Engagement and Events Fundraising Plan—aligned with Depaul’s overall Fundraising Strategy—in collaboration with the Strategic Partnerships Manager.
Plan and execute engaging, dynamic, and suitable fundraising initiatives for community groups, schools, and colleges.
Lead and expand Depaul’s Schools Programme, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, educational, and inspiring presentations that promote fundraising objectives and motivate stakeholder support.
Develop and implement a community volunteer programme, working closely with the Volunteer Department, to enhance the Schools Programme and community fundraising efforts. This includes establishing a trained, supported, and dependable volunteer network across regions with the goal of doubling income over the next three years.
Maintain strong relationships with existing community fundraising networks (both individuals and groups) while building a pipeline of new prospects. Produce compelling partnership proposals that clearly communicate Depaul’s mission, goals, and the mutual value of collaboration, tailored to potential partners and sponsors.
Meet agreed income targets within budget, consistently maximising return on investment and added value for Depaul.Oversee the day-to-day operations of community and events fundraising, and assess the feasibility and suitability of new fundraising initiatives in consultation with the Strategic Partnerships Manager.
Deliver effective end-to-end management of the full community fundraising and events calendar—including both in-person and virtual events—ensuring full compliance and robust risk management, in partnership with the Strategic Partnerships Manager.
Provide guidance, support, and motivation to individuals and groups fundraising on behalf of Depaul throughout Ireland.Serve as a fundraising ambassador, actively promoting the value and impact of fundraising for Depaul and those we support.
Create all community and events content for Depaul’s communication channels (newsletters, e-zines, website, social media), collaborating with the Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure online marketing plans are aligned with targets.
Develop, design, and manage all branding materials and merchandise for community fundraising events and campaigns, as well as internal, corporate, or other events as requested by the Strategic Partnerships Manager.
Contribute to corporate events and activities as needed, ensuring smooth execution and supporting strong corporate partnerships as part of the Strategic Partnerships team.
Work collaboratively with the Fundraising & Communications management and wider team to help achieve overall fundraising strategy and targets.
Attend and assist with the coordination of fundraising and other events across regions, as required by the Strategic Partnerships Manager.
