Location: Dromard Childcare Community Group, Legga Moyne Co. Longford.
Are you passionate about supporting children’s early learning and wellbeing, while also helping to lead and inspire a team? We are looking for a caring, motivated, and hands-on full-time Deputy Manager to join our welcoming crèche and preschool service.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working directly with children in both creche and preschool rooms, while also supporting staff and assisting with the smooth running of the service.
What you’ll be doing: Working alongside staff in the rooms to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for all children.
Supporting the Manager and Administrator with the daily running of the service, ensuring high standards of care and education.Acting as Manager in their absence, providing guidance and encouragement to the team.
Helping staff deliver an engaging play-based curriculum that supports each child’s holistic development.
Building strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Reporting and record keeping for compliance with Pobal/Tusla
Review and Implement Policy and Procedures of the service.
Supporting parents/children to access services and government programs (ECCE/NCS)Liaise with AIM/Betterstart, EY Inspectorate and CCC’s for training and support’s.
What we’re looking for: A minimum Level 7/8 degree qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education.
Experience in an early years setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience an advantage.A team player with great communication skills, who can support and encourage others.
Someone who is flexible, reliable, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
Bookkeeping and Financial Management skills are advantageous
Excellent Communication skills, IT and administration skills
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
