Job Description:

We are currently seeking part-time Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) for ongoing agency work in a low-dependency elderly care home located in Ballraggat, Kilkenny. This is a small, 10-resident facility focused on providing a calm, supportive, and person-centred environment.

What We Offer:

• 20 hours per week
• Day shifts initially, with night shifts available after induction
• Hourly rate of €16.00 – €17.50, depending on experience and qualifications
• No car required – easily accessible location

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks
• Providing emotional and social support
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Helping maintain a warm, “home away from home” atmosphere for residents

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting (home care, nursing home, hospital, etc.)
• Open to candidates with or without full FETAC Level 5, or those working towards completion
• A compassionate, dependable, and flexible approach to care
• Genuine interest in supporting older adults
