Position: DevOps Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining secure and scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams, implement deployment strategies, and streamline the development lifecycle in a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define and enforce branching/version control strategies (Git Flow, trunk-based).
  • Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement secure IAM roles, policies, and permissions.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment with Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash.
  • Manage artifacts using JFrog Artifactory.
  • Integrate and maintain code quality/security tools (SonarQube, Fortify, Prisma Cloud, Qualys).
  • Ensure observability practices with CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or similar tools.
  • Work with security/compliance teams to apply DevSecOps principles and support audits.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response/post-mortems.
Requirements
  • 5+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer in a cloud-native environment.
  • Strong expertise with AWS cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise).
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Terragrunt).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash).
  • Knowledge of IAM, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
Nice to Have
  • AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Security Specialty).
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, SOC2).
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and secrets management.
  • Experience implementing policy-as-code and compliance automation tools.
