We are working on behalf of one of Ireland's leading environmental and planning consultancies, currently seeking a Senior Planner to join their growing team. With over 200 professionals across multiple disciplines - planning, ecology, environment, and more - this firm is a market leader in delivering large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects nationwide.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner to step into a strategic and client-facing role, leading on high-profile planning applications, mentoring junior staff, and driving forward innovative, sustainable developments across Ireland.
The Role
You will take a leadership position in the planning team, managing and delivering complex planning applications for renewable energy and infrastructure projects. You'll work with internal experts, project stakeholders, local authorities, and clients to ensure smooth project progression from concept to consent.

Responsibilities- Lead and manage planning applications for large renewable energy projects
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulators
- Oversee project inputs, mentor junior planners, and ensure quality control
- Provide expert advice on planning policy, risk, and strategy
- Deliver planning documentation and project outputs to the highest standard
- Support wider business goals and contribute to a positive team culture
- Town Planning degree (IPI or RTPI accredited)
- Minimum 6 years' post-graduate planning experience, ideally within consultancy
- In-depth knowledge of the Irish planning system and environmental legislation
- Proven experience in renewable energy or infrastructure planning
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent report writing, organisation, and attention to detail
- Full, clean driver's licence (essential)
