IT Support - Systems Administrator
My client is looking for an IT Support / Systems Administrator professional with 4+ years of experience in a Helpdesk support role. This is a permanent position based in Kildare.
Responsibilities:
Provide Technical Support: Assist users via face-to-face, phone, remote access, and ITSM systems; handle 1st and 2nd line support and deliver IT orientation for new users.
Device Management: Build, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, and RF handhelds; perform hardware replacements and software troubleshooting.
User & System Administration: Manage onboarding/offboarding via Active Directory and Exchange Online; oversee backups (Druva) and endpoint protection (Windows Defender).
Network & Infrastructure Support: Assist with tasks such as patch updates, VLAN changes, DHCP reservations, and maintaining physical network infrastructure.
Asset & Project Management: Track hardware/software assets using asset tools and contribute to IT projects, including after-hours and weekend work when required.

Skills and experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT helpdesk or tech support role.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft operating systems, Windows technologies etc
- Hands on knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware and HyperV.
- Proficiency with Apple iOS devices and systems.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and Active Directory services.
- Foundational experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
- Familiarity with Azure services
- Manufacturing environment experience is desirable.
- Willingness to attend job-related training to enhance relevant technical skills.
