We are currently working with a leading biologics manufacturing company in the Mid-West region who are seeking a Microbiology Lab Manager to join their senior quality leadership structure.

The successful candidate will lead a microbiology laboratory within a modern GMP facility

• Manage and develop a microbiology laboratory team at a senior level
• Ensure routine & non-routine microbiology testing is executed correctly
• Act as SME for contamination control, aseptic processing expectations, and regulatory requirements
• Lead investigations, quality events & drive effective CAPA closure
• Bring strong technical judgement to cross-functional decisions
• Drive continuous improvement / efficiency programmes across the lab
• Represent microbiology in audits, inspections & senior site forums
• Support method development / validation / transfer activities
• Oversee equipment lifecycle – qualification, calibration, procurement

• Degree in Microbiology or relevant scientific discipline
• 5-7 years within pharmaceutical / biopharma microbiology with proven leadership experience
• Deep understanding of aseptic requirements
• Comfortable leading teams, building culture, influencing senior stakeholders

Candidates from QA leadership background / Analytical Laboratory Management or Validation Manager background within pharma/bio pharma

• Senior management level appointment
• High investment, modern sterile manufacturing environment
• Ownership of the microbiology function plus genuine senior visibility
• Salary up to €100,000 (DOE)
