Site Engineer

The Role

As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting project delivery — ensuring works are set out accurately, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating site activities effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting out the works and ensuring information is clearly communicated to foremen, operatives, and subcontractors.
• Reviewing drawings and specifications to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
• Conducting quality reviews on site, particularly regarding rebar and concrete placement.
• Overseeing technical submissions and concrete testing.
• Preparing technical method statements and assisting with traffic management on a busy site.
• Keeping accurate site diaries and records of daily activities.
• Promoting a safe working environment and adherence to HSE standards.
• Contributing to the ongoing improvement and efficiency of site operations.

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar).
• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer.
• Background with a main contractor, subcontractor, or surveying firm is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
• Experience managing traffic and logistics on complex or urban projects.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
