Job Description
Murphy Machinery (Kilkenny) Limited, Dublin Road, Co. Kilkenny, Kilkenny, R95 W250, Ireland.We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team. the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to ensure they are safe, reliable, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify faults or potentialissues.
Perform repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems.Troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently and effectively, ensuring minimaldowntime.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs carried out.
Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrades as required.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with other team members to optimise maintenance procedures andimproveoperational efficiency.
Requirements: Proven experience as a motor mechanic or in a similar role
Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and componentsProficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair tools
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication skills in dealing with both customers and team members.
A HGV licence is preferred but not essential.
Experiences: Minimum 2-5 years.Work: 39 hours / Week
