Now, we’re looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Design Manager to join our growing team in Dublin.
Your Role
As an Assistant Design Manager, you’ll play a key role in coordinating the design process across exciting and complex construction projects. Reporting to the Project Lead or Senior Design Manager (depending on project scale), you’ll be the vital link between consultants, suppliers, and internal teams—ensuring seamless collaboration and design excellence from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do- Take ownership of design-related elements during the tender and pre-construction phases
- Support the selection and management of the design team, including consultants and specialist subcontractors
- Ensure timely delivery of design information aligned with programme and budget requirements
- Collaborate closely with the M&E Coordinator to ensure full integration of building and services
- Mentor and support Design Coordinators during the construction phase
- Ensure compliance with statutory design regulations, planning permissions, and building control
- Contribute to cost meetings and ensure design aligns with commercial objectives
- Use digital tools such as BIM, CAD, Viewpoint (4Projects), and Microsoft Office to manage and communicate design information
Experience:
What You Bring- A degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related design discipline
- Experience supporting pre-construction and construction phases on large-scale projects
- Strong understanding of procurement routes, contract types, and building regulations
- Commercial awareness and a collaborative mindset
- Familiarity with BREEAM, CDM regulations, and programming software
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication skills
