Our client is a well-established construction contractor delivering projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Construction Planner/Scheduler to support both tender and live project stages, ensuring programmes are robust, realistic, and effectively managed through to completion.
This is a key role within the project delivery team, offering strong exposure to senior management, complex projects, and long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop clear, accurate tender-stage construction schedules and supporting narrative submissions under tight deadlines.Prepare, manage, and maintain fully logic-linked project schedules aligned with project objectives and contractual requirements.
Work with industry-standard planning software including Primavera P6, MS Project, and Asta Powerproject.
Monitor project progress against baseline programmes and produce regular updates.
Carry out critical path and delay analysis, identifying risks and opportunities within the programme.
Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to validate progress and sequencing.
Facilitate programme reviews and progress meetings, proposing corrective actions where required.
Assess the impact of scope changes, variations, and delays on programme and cost.
Produce clear, professional reports including Gantt charts, S-curves, dashboards, and progress summaries.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons-learned reviews.
Requirements:
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.3–5+ years’ experience in a planning / scheduling role within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of Irish construction practices, sequencing, and resource planning.
Working knowledge of Public Works Contracts and RIAI contract frameworks.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project (Asta Powerproject advantageous).
Solid understanding of planning principles including Critical Path Method (CPM) and earned value concepts.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with site teams and senior stakeholders.
Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
