Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading food production company in Kildare, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical focus to join their facility. This is a hands-on role working on high-speed production machinery, PLC-controlled equipment, and supporting facilities such as compressed air, refrigeration, and utility systems.

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment.
• Wiring installation, commissioning, and PLC diagnostics.
• Planned and reactive maintenance to maximise machinery uptime.
• Support new equipment installations and modifications.
• Assist with safety compliance, risk assessments, and contractor management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.

• A relevant third level qualification in Engineering or time-served Electrician or Fitter (Electrical/ Mechanical Qualification/ Mechanical Experience).
• Minimum 3 years in a maintenance role within food production or FMCG.
• Strong PLC, electrical control, and industrial troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and GMP standards.
• Team player with good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
