Maintenance Electrician

Our client, a leading food manufacturer based in Kildare, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team. This is a key role, supporting the smooth running of a modern production facility while ensuring maximum machine uptime, safety, and efficiency.

• Provide hands-on maintenance across production and site facilities.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Install, commission, and fault-find electrical systems and plant equipment.
• Support continuous improvement projects and manage on-site contractors.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, health & safety, and food quality standards.

• Qualified Electrician or third-level Engineering qualification.
• 3+ years’ experience in maintenance, ideally within FMCG/food production.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with PLC knowledge.
• Proactive problem-solver, able to work independently and in a team.
• Safety-focused, organised, and committed to high standards.
