Kitchen Porter – Healthcare Catering Kitchen | Dublin 3
We are recruiting a Kitchen Porter to support a healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 3. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and supporting food service operations for patients and staff in a clinical environment.
The location is accessible by DART (Clontarf Road and Killester) and multiple Dublin Bus routes.
This position is suited to candidates with experience in busy kitchens who are seeking daytime work with consistent hours in a healthcare setting.
Main Duties
Clean and maintain kitchen areas, equipment and utensilsWash dishes, cookware and service items
Assist with basic food preparation such as peeling and chopping
Support stocking of ward pantries and beverage stations
Assist with HACCP compliance, including temperature checks
Follow infection control and hygiene procedures
Support chefs and catering staff during service
Requirements
6–12 months’ experience as a Kitchen Porter or Catering AssistantExperience in healthcare or hospital kitchens is desirable
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references
Reliable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Pay & Conditions
€17.53 per hourDouble pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Daytime shifts only (no late evenings)
Accessible by public transport (DART and Dublin Bus)
Opportunity for longer-term healthcare assignments
