Area Sales Manager – North East Region
We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to oversee and grow sales operations in the North East / North Dublin region. This role is responsible for managing and developing Van Sales Operators, Authorised Distributors, and associated depots to ensure exceptional customer service and business performance.
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to build strong relationships, drive revenue, and lead a sales team to success.
Salary: €45,000 - Company Car - Phone - Laptop
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management: Achieve agreed annual and quarterly sales targets through the management of existing accounts, development of new business opportunities, and provision of excellent after-sales service.
Returns Control: Monitor and manage product returns, ensuring they remain within agreed percentage targets.Stock Reconciliation: Ensure all stock is accurately tracked and accounted for from delivery to point of sale.
Team Rotas: Oversee scheduling and rota management to ensure full operational coverage during holidays, absences, and peak periods.
Staff Management: Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff as needed. Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance and compliance of company vehicles, ensuring adherence to accident reporting procedures.
Reporting & Communication: Provide accurate and timely reports to senior management. Maintain open lines of communication on all matters affecting the business.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar sales or territory management role.Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.
Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
Proven team player with the ability to contribute to wider sales strategy discussions.
Full clean Irish/European driving licence required.
