Payroll Executive – Dublin West (Onsite)

Our client, a well-established and expanding business based in Dublin West, is seeking a Payroll Executive with strong accounts experience to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a diverse position that combines full responsibility for payroll processing with wider finance support, offering variety and the opportunity to play an integral role in both payroll and accounts.

Working as part of a collaborative finance and HR function, you will oversee payroll for 150+ employees (across fortnightly and monthly cycles), while also contributing to reconciliations, ledger work, and reporting tasks. This role is best suited to someone who enjoys balancing payroll expertise with general accounting responsibilities, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.

Location: Dublin West (onsite, full-time)

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll runs
Input and verify payroll changes including new hires, leavers, bonuses, and statutory leave
Collaborate with external payroll provider to ensure timely, accurate submissions
Maintain payroll data and records in line with GDPR and compliance standards
Reconcile payroll accounts and support month-end/year-end reporting
Assist with finance duties including bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and general reporting

Contribute to continuous improvements within payroll and finance processes

Skills & Experience Required:

Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience in a similar role
IPASS qualification essential
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll/finance systems (Sage or equivalent)
High attention to detail with proven ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Comfortable working across both payroll and accounts functions
