General Accountant

A leading technology company is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join its EMEA General Ledger team on a 3-month contract basis. This role will support the month-end close process and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple EMEA entities.

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for EMEA entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely general ledger accounting and reporting.
• Assist with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Support statutory and external audit requirements.
• Review financial data, investigate variances, and resolve accounting issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the GL function.

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 2+ years' post-qualification experience, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• Experience working with multiple entities across EMEA is advantageous.
• Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Available to start immediately or at short notice.
