Role Overview

A senior opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join a team responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad portfolio of projects and programmes. This role will focus on ensuring effective contract management, performance monitoring, and supplier engagement across multiple workstreams.

The successful candidate will lead a small team and collaborate across functions to drive improvements in contract performance, governance, and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team responsible for managing contract performance and supplier engagement.
  • Help define and implement frameworks to monitor and report on key contractual and commercial metrics.
  • Act as a point of escalation for contract-related issues and contribute to problem-solving and resolution.
  • Promote continuous improvement across the contract lifecycle, embedding best practices into future ways of working.
  • Develop and deliver regular reports and performance dashboards to support informed decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate governance forums or working groups to share insights and promote consistent approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of training, process improvements, and broader commercial strategy initiatives.
  • Undertake other duties aligned with the scope and seniority of the role.
Skills & Experience
  • A relevant qualification in a related discipline such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar.
  • Significant experience (circa 7+ years) in contract management, commercial performance, or programme delivery in a complex organisation.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Comfortable working with performance data, reporting tools, and governance processes.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
