Marketing Manager - Pepsi Music

Overview:

Reporting to the Marketing Director for Music, this role is responsible for developing and leading music as an “always-on” pillar in collaboration with marketing, design, insights, and partnerships teams, as well as a range of external agencies.

The role requires a strong marketer with deep digital expertise, creative flair, global influencing skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence.

  • Lead Pepsi’s music program: considering audience insights, media strategies, competitive landscape, budget allocation and anchor markets’ preferences
  • Unite diverse teams around shared goals including partnering with anchor markets, production, design, legal and earned media teams to steward best-in-class music campaigns
  • Briefs, develops and executes the creation of unique experiences, content, and end to end activation opportunities that deepen fan engagement in key anchor markets
  • Responsible for relationships with relevant creative, media and digital agencies – and the identification of future agency partners as needed
  • Drive Digital & Media analytics and learning agenda for music by owning tracking & optimization of media performance indicators for music, and codifying learnings
  • Real -time campaign optimization, with proof-record of driving productivities and campaign optimization with focus on business objectives and media performance indicators

Qualifications:

  • Key skills required:
  • Seasoned senior marketer (10+ years’ experience) with a proven track record for delivering bleeding-edge, end to end FMCG brand programs from media to shelf (360)
  • Subject matter expert and fluent on digital and social ecosystems, emerging platforms, formats, technologies, and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions for amplification on digital platforms
  • Responsible for relationships with relevant creative, media and digital agencies – and the identification of future agency partners as needed
  • Expert problem solver with ability to distil simplicity from complexity
  • A self-starter who thrives on autonomy and navigates ambiguity with ease
  • Strong strategic thinker, able to demonstrate thought leadership in the evolution of both strategy and market execution.
  • Strong financial acumen for budget planning and cost optimization
  • Compelling storyteller with the ability to influence and create system excitement within a matrix organization

  • Experience in key anchor markets will be a distinct advantage; many of our growth markets are developing & emerging in Asia, the Middle East, and LATAM so proven track record in tailoring marketing strategies to local consumer needs is key
  • True resilience and drive in the pursuit of objectives, willingness to take on and find new ways to solve complex challenges
  • Ability to navigate matrix organization at its most complex (multiple global teams, all regional teams, 100+ global markets)
  • Strong sense for organizational dynamics, ability to build highly trusted relationships and influence through both formal and informal means
