Finance Controller

Overview

We are seeking a commercially astute Finance Controller to join a dynamic, private equity-backed travel business, supporting its outbound North America operations. This is a pivotal role for someone ready to assess, influence, and reshape the finance function to meet the needs of a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

• Lead the financial oversight of the North America travel division, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, stabilising financial control.
• Assess the current finance operations, particularly the work of remote teams focused on transaction processing.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and simplify a fragmented entity structure.
• Influence and guide remote finance teams to improve performance and alignment.
• Design and implement a fit-for-purpose finance function that supports strategic goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive financial efficiency and support business growth.

• Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar senior finance role, ideally in a PE-backed or multi-entity business.
• Strong understanding of financial operations, controls, and reporting.
• Experience managing or influencing remote teams.
• Ability to assess existing structures and implement improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Travel or consumer-facing industry experience is a plus.
