About Us

We are a forward-looking organisation with a clear vision to make a positive impact. We're looking for talented individuals who are passionate about making a tangible difference and eager to contribute to meaningful change.
  • Position: Microsoft Dynamics Platform Lead
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Contract type: Permanent

Role Overview

We are a dynamic and growing organisation of approximately 300 employees, committed to leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. We have recently undertaken a strategic transformation by migrating our core business applications to Microsoft Dynamics 365, forming the foundation for a modern digital ecosystem.

Our technology function is undergoing significant change, with further business-critical applications scheduled to move onto the Dynamics platform. In parallel, we continue to operate and support a number of third-party applications outside of Dynamics.

These systems remain key to our operations, and ensuring their alignment, integration, and support is a critical part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Provide architectural oversight and governance for all business applications, including non-Dynamics third-party systems.
  • Serve as the technical owner of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and contribute to the strategic management of the wider application estate.
  • Working with our Data Engineering team, ensure interoperability, data integrity, and consistent integration between applications.
  • Support rationalisation and transition planning for legacy systems as applications are consolidated onto the Dynamics platform.
Development, Delivery & Integration
  • Lead technical design and delivery of enhancements, customisations, and new capabilities within Dynamics 365.
  • Oversee development and integration efforts involving third-party systems and external service providers.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and meet business requirements across the applications portfolio.
Team Development & Leadership
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to a team.
  • Build internal capabilities in Dynamics and broader application support, including development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Promote a proactive, service-oriented, and collaborative team culture.
Business Engagement & BAU Operations
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for business stakeholders in relation to Dynamics and other core applications.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of third-party applications (e.g. upgrades, renewals, vendor relationships).
  • Oversee incident management, change control, and BAU support for the full application portfolio.
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure applications (Dynamics and non-Dynamics) comply with data protection, security, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure appropriate controls are in place across the application landscape.
  • Track software licensing, support contracts, and vendor compliance.
Corporate Responsibilities
  • Ensure all activity is aligned to organisational values and contributes to the mission of supporting thriving communities.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures at all times.
  • Exercise discretion at all times.
  • Demonstrate high standards regarding both organisational and personal wellbeing, health, and safety requirements.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Technical Lead, Architect, or Senior Developer.
  • Solid experience managing or supporting enterprise application portfolios, including third-party SaaS and on-prem systems.
  • Solid understanding of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Azure services.
  • Experience in system architecture, integration, and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Solution Architect / Developer Associate.
  • Experience working with diverse application environments and vendors.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and middleware platforms.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Agile and DevOps practices.
