PE Global Healthcare are delighted to assist their client to recruit for a clerical officer for a busy hospital in South County Dublin.

Role Summary:

The post holder will be responsible for providing, high quality clerical support to the various sections, which make-up the Patient Services Department in the hospital. Undertaking all administrative and clerical duties in the daily running of the Department, as an individual and as a team player.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • Excellent customer care, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good Team working and organisational skills
  • Basic ICT and Keyboard skills

Outline of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure service in the Patient Services area of the hospital is of a very high standard and provides a courteous and professional image of the hospital.
  • Ensure that all patients, visitors and hospital staff are treated with respect and courtesy.
  • Maintain an effective healthcare records system by the accurate retrieval, filing and storage of all healthcare records using the terminal digit filing system.
  • Produce new patient charts and maintain existing charts, ensuring all relevant documentation is available in the appropriate section of the healthcare record.
  • Ensure Healthcare Records, X-rays and test results are available to medical staff for the patient’s visit to Emergency Department, In-Patient admission and Out-Patient attendance.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all patient demographic details to Patient Administration System (PAS)
  • Record patient details to out- patient waiting lists as appropriate. Deal with patients/relatives/visitors to ensure a smooth, efficient and effective journey through the Out-Patient Department
