Senior Technical Project Manager – Disability Services (Chief Assistant Technical Services Officer)
Galway (Merlin Park University Hospital) | 24-Month Contract (with possible extension or permanency) | €80,676+ | HSE Capital & Estates
We are excited to partner again with the HSE Capital & Estates (West Region) to recruit Senior Technical Project Managers to support the delivery of essential infrastructure in disability care settings.
This is a unique opportunity to lead impactful projects that directly improve the quality of care for service users across Ireland.
What You’ll Do- Lead end-to-end delivery of capital projects in disability services
- Manage design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Oversee budgets, timelines, and compliance (HIQA, fire safety, infection control)
- Drive quality, risk management, and project performance
- Support infrastructure planning, maintenance, and sustainability initiatives
- Level 8+ in Engineering, Architecture, or Surveying
- Chartered status (Engineers Ireland, RIAI, SCSI, RICS, or equivalent)
- 7+ years’ experience in construction/project delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments highly desirable
- Project and budget management expertise
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Risk assessment and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in reporting and IT systems
- Competitive salary from €80,676 with annual increments thereafter
- 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
