Bishopstown Meals On Wheels are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to assist them with the preparation of meals Monday to Friday. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to participate on a Community Employment Scheme in a state-of-the art kitchen under experienced personnel. This is a work and training programme. Some of the tasks involved are as follows: Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy at all times
Assisting in the preparation of food by cutting, chopping, slicing and washing food as requiredFollowing all Health and Safety regulations including wearing of uniform/ppe
Assist with the pricing and sourcing of food
Assist with unloading of deliveries and checking same
Be prepared to undergo training for this role, e.g., HACCP and any training the HSE provide
Good command of the English language is essential
