Head Chef - Restaurant - Co. Kerry

Sky Staffing Solutions is hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at a busy, well-established restaurant in Co. Kerry. This is a senior leadership role ideal for an experienced chef who brings creativity, consistency, and strong operational knowledge to a high-quality dining environment.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of kitchen operations, team management, menu development, and food cost control, ensuring an exceptional culinary experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all kitchen operations including food preparation, service, hygiene, and team management
• Develop and execute innovative menus using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients
• Manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and all food safety regulations
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation to the highest standards
• Monitor stock levels, control costs, and reduce waste while maintaining quality
• Collaborate with front-of-house management to deliver a seamless guest experience
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, and development of kitchen team members

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior chef role, with at least 2 years as Head Chef
• Proven experience in leading high-volume restaurant kitchens
• Strong culinary, leadership, and organisational skills
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and allergen procedures
• Passion for food, creativity in menu development, and commitment to excellence
• Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
