Senior Financial Analyst, EMEA AWS and Kuiper Statutory Accounting
To meet the growing demand for Accounting Services in EMEA, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people to join our team in Cork. We are currently recruiting a Financial Accountant to join the expanding Statutory Reporting team.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Preparation of high quality financial statements across a range of accounting frameworks;
- Responsible for month end close activities including reviews, balance sheet reconciliations and analytics.
- Preparation of statutory trial balances including identification and posting of local GAAP adjustments;
- Supporting external audit process;
- Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to be able to conclude on accounting treatment for complex business related transactions;
- Business partnering with other Amazon teams, including Treasury, Tax, Public Relations, Transfer Pricing and Corporate Legal;
- Collaborating with global Accounting teams to identify opportunities for enhanced standardization
- Being a strong team player, who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative.

About the teamAmazon Affinity Groups
- Experience with accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization
- Certified accountant qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Proficient Microsoft Excel user- Knowledge of IFRS or other accounting frameworks;
- Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - Experience managing multiple projects with competing schedules
- Excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify and communicate risks to leadership
- Passion to continuously enhance processes and reduce manual efforts through automation or optimization initiatives.
