Financial Planning Manager - Pensions New

This position will incorporate the provision of pension and financial planning advice and retirement solutions to high-net-worth individuals. The successful individual will work as part of a team of in-house financial planning experts, providing technical expertise and meeting support, working closely with our investment and Private Client Adviser teams.

As part of a dynamic environment, the role will require an innovative and commercial skillset to drive positive outcomes for existing clients and new prospects.

In the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the Irish pension and wealth management market and apply this knowledge in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with the Financial Planning, Investment and Adviser teams to develop innovative solutions for high-net-worth individuals incorporating knowledge of pension, tax, protection and investment disciplines.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the pensions platform together with the evolving pensions landscape and apply this knowledge in dealing with clients to drive new opportunities.
  • Drive and contribute to key strategic and commercial initiatives across Private Clients.
  • Contribute to thought leadership to pro-actively deliver key messages to clients and increase awareness of pension and financial planning proposition in the marketplace.
  • Support the business to deliver excellent customer outcomes in a risk conscious manner.

About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

  • Degree or Masters level qualification in a business related discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a pensions technical / retirement advice related role;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with significant experience delivering retirement and pensions advice to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Irish pension and tax regulations and legislation;
  • Completion of a professional qualification in a related discipline;
  • QFA qualification;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Self-motivated, commercial and entrepreneurial in nature;
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities and to manage large projects to a successful outcome;
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment, and to manage key stakeholders across the business and externally;
  • A high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
