This position is a cornerstone of the leadership team, focused on managing the daily operations of a fast-paced, commercially-driven finance department. You will provide direct oversight to a team of three part-time professionals while ensuring the highest standards of reporting, compliance, and internal control.

Professional Background The ideal candidate is a part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a proven track record in financial reporting and a firm grasp of accounting controls. You should be comfortable operating in a high-energy environment where accuracy and adherence to compliance are paramount.

• Systems Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with modern accounting software.
• Leadership Style: A hands-on, reliable approach with the ability to mentor a small team.
• Communication: Highly organized with the ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail combined with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

• Financial Reporting & Management: Oversee the production of monthly management accounts, including all necessary supporting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strategic Support: Collaborate with the CEO and various operational departments to drive financial performance through data-driven analysis and insights.
• Budgeting & Planning: Play a central role in the annual budgeting process, as well as ongoing forecasting and cashflow monitoring.
• Compliance & Filing: Manage statutory requirements, including VAT and PSWT, and lead the quarterly reporting process.
• Operational Oversight: Direct the accounts payable and receivable functions and ensure the organization is fully prepared for annual audits and year-end procedures.
