This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance.Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy training environment as a Reception Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience while receiving structured on-the-job training and dedicated mentorship.
Participants will receive excellent on the job training and be supported by a mentor.The successful candidate will assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the centre by welcoming visitors, answering and directing phone calls, managing emails, and maintaining accurate records. You will assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating bookings, handling correspondence, and ensuring the reception area remains professional and organised.
Responsibilities will also include monitoring office supplies and supporting staff and external stakeholders to ensure efficient operations.
This role offers hands-on experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You will also learn how to manage information with discretion and professionalism.
Role Description
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
