Temporary Management Accountant (Part-Time)
Here at Osborne we are seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function on a short-term basis for our client.
Location: Togher, CorkJob Type: Temporary / Contract (approx. 1 month)
Hours: 3 days per week
Salary: €60K pro-rata
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day finance function and provide support to the Finance Manager.Conduct a full review of the Aged Debtors Ledger, including writing off bad debts and preparing/posting bad debt provision journals.
Review and reconcile the Aged Creditors Ledger, including liaising with suppliers (two accounts in particular require full reconciliation, one of which is complex).
Manage and review the monthly supplier payment run.
Post outstanding journal entries and ensure accurate records in Sage.
Prepare monthly management accounts and present in templates for the Finance & Audit Sub-Committee and the Board.
Support the Finance Administrator with queries and ad hoc finance tasks as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
Strong experience preparing management accounts and knowledge of Irish accounting principles.Proven ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Sage experience – essential.
Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken English).
Previous experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector is an advantage.
