We are recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to support a healthcare facility in Dublin 4, preparing fresh, nutritious meals that directly support patient care and wellbeing.
This is a rewarding healthcare catering position, ideal for chefs with experience in hospital kitchens, healthcare facilities or high-volume food service environments, who value structure, consistency and meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with dietary, nutritional and clinical guidelinesLead or support daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, quality and consistency
Work confidently across food production, preparation, plating and service areas
Follow all HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures at all times
Oversee stock rotation, food storage, labelling and waste minimisation
Maintain portion control, allergen management and food presentation standards
Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare teams on menu planning and patient requirements
Maintain a clean, compliant and well-organised healthcare kitchen environment
Requirements
QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional chef qualificationExperience in healthcare catering, hospital kitchens or high-volume catering environments
Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety and cook-chill processes
Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references
Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
Flexibility to work across a Monday–Sunday roster
Salary & Benefits
€20.50 per hourDouble pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Full-time hours with day shifts only
