Capex Accountant Governance & Budgeting Manager

Seeking an experienced Capex Accountant to support capital project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring compliance and effective stakeholder engagement.

Core Duties:

• Partner with internal teams to manage capital investments, budgets, variances, and risk.
• Support procurement in project cost evaluations.
• Maintain and enhance Capex policies, SOPs, and procedures in line with compliance standards.
• Oversee asset register, verifications, and disposals in collaboration with the GL team.
• Assist with internal/external audits and capex-related committee preparations.
• Contribute to systems/process improvements (e.g., SAP) for efficiency and compliance.
• Deliver timely financial, reconciliation, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks (e.g., Climate Action, Public Spending Code, EU Taxonomy).

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE in capital investment and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, appraisal, and Excel skills.
• Experience in SAP and familiarity with relevant legislative frameworks.
• Background in project/process improvement and stakeholder engagement.
